Bill Stramer Named President, SC&RA

Lexington, KY (April, 2010) Bill Stramer, Link-Belt Cranes vice president for marketing, sales and customer support, was named president of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) at the SC&RA Annual Conference held April 6-10 in Orlando, Florida, USA. SC&RA is a trade organization committed to providing industry information and services for worldwide members to safely, legally, and profitably transport, lift, and erect oversize and overweight items. He is the first representative of a mobile crane manufacturer to serve as president.

Stramer, who first became involved with SC&RA in 1990, has served nine years on the board of directors and previously held association positions of chairman of the Crane and Rigging Governing Committee, assistant treasurer, and most recently, vice president.

"You get more out of this association than you put in, regardless of the amount of time and effort you invest," said Stramer. "Through SC&RA, I've learned over the years that networking is not just about building business, it's also about building friendships."
