Press release date: April 21, 2011

ANN ARBOR, MI - April 21, 2011 - With its second website freshening in the past year, Aven, Inc. introduces a sleeker, more elegant presentation that features leading products in a rotating slide show.

The global manufacturer of optical inspection systems and precision tools showcases nine instruments or product categories at the top of www.avenin.com in an interactive format that lets visitors click through any selection for additional details. This more dynamic landing page design also displays10 Featured Products with one-click access to specifications, pricing, information requests or ordering.

"We've smoothed navigation, enhanced visibility and made it easier for visitors to find what they want," says Michael Shahpurwala, president of Aven. "The scrolling main display also introduces high-demand items that may interest professionals in engineering, science, medicine, electronics, education or quality control."

The site continues to serve as a full-line catalog of optical instruments in 12 categories, hand tools in 12 product segments and three types of bench accessories. Within each group in the two larger categories, visitors can click through to see up to several dozen of choices of Biological Microscopes or Hemostats and Probes, for instance.

The latest design improvements come less than a year after a more extensive revamping that allows side-by-side comparisons of five items and displays a quote-request button with each product for custom applications or quantity orders. "Continuous process improvements are as important to us as they are to industrial and scientific customers," explains Shahpurwala. "That's why it took just 10 months to advance from our mid-2010 site design to this version."

Both projects were developed with ThomasNet Web Solutions, an industrial marketing specialist that has designed more than 2,000 business sites. It's a division of Thomas Publishing Co., based in New York City. For more information, call Aven at (734) 973-0099.
