The AS5410 linear position sensor is first IC from the world's first fully-featured 3D Hall platform

Unterpremstaetten, Austria - austriamicrosystems has announced that it has won the gold Sensors Magazine "Best of Sensors Expo" Award in the sensors category for the AS5410 3D Hall encoder. Sensors Executive Editor Melanie Martella presented the award on June 7, 2011 at the Sensors Expo & Conference, which was held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

Twelve gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention awards were presented in four categories: Sensors; Sensor Components; Technologies; and Data Acquisition. In addition to Martella, this year's judges included Ed Ramsden from Lattice Semiconductor. Exhibitors submitted new product nominations, and entries were judged on the basis of potential impact, application, distinctiveness, timeliness and availability.

"The nominations demonstrated exceptional innovation, integration and ease of use," said Martella. "We applaud them all."

At Sensors Expo austriamicrosystems showcased and demonstrated it line of high-performance sensors & sensor interface ICs for industrial and automotive applications.
