Fairfield, New Jersey - Amerlux Lighting Solutions has announced the appointments of two executives who hold key roles in the firm's leadership team. Sam Newberry has been appointed to Vice President of Sales and Bill Plageman has been promoted to Vice President of Specification Sales. Both will report directly to Chuck Campagna, President and CEO of Amerlux, a leader in task-specific, energy efficient lighting solutions for the retail, commercial, grocery, hospitality and LEED green building markets.
"Sam and Bill have proven leadership abilities and industry experience," says Mr. Campagna. "These appointments further enhance our commitment to building client relationships by delivering lighting solutions that exceed expectations of aesthetics, service, energy-efficiency, performance and reliability."
In his new position, Sam Newberry will be in-charge of overall sales and the national sales team, while overseeing the development of relationships with national accounts, distributors and specifiers. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Newberry served as Vice President of National Accounts Sales for Amerlux. He has more than 12 years of lighting industry experience including Western National Accounts Sales Manager for Juno Lighting, and Specification Sales Representative for Halophane Lighting. He holds a B.S. Degree from Cal State University at Fullerton.
Bill Plageman, the new Vice President of National Specification Sales, is responsible for building a sales team to work with high-profile architectural, engineering and lighting design firms. Promoted from Director of Specification Sales, he has more than 18 years of lighting experience working with the design community and national account end-users. Before joining the firm, Mr. Plageman served as Regional Director of National Accounts for Lightolier, a division of the Genlyte Group. He graduated the University of Cincinnati with B.A. in Business.
