Alcoa Names Ingrid Muehlboeck President, European Mill Products


NEW YORK & GENEVA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alcoa (NYSE:AA) announced today that Ingrid Muehlboeck, 37, has been named President, European Mill Products. This business serves more than 2,000 customers in the aerospace, commercial transportation, automotive, rigid packaging, and other industries with aluminum flat rolled products from plants in France, Spain, Italy, Hungary and the U.K. Muehlboeck has been president of Alcoa's Global Foil business since 2005. She will continue responsibility for Alcoa's Latin American Flat Rolled Products business. Muehlboeck succeeds Philippe Royer, who has decided to leave Alcoa to pursue other opportunities. Muehlboeck will be located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Muehlboeck joined Alcoa in 2001 as Commercial Director of the Specialties Business at Transformacion de Productos, which produces fabricated aluminum products, based in Madrid, Spain. She was named General Manager of the Specialties business for European Mill Products in 2004 and moved to Alcoa's New York office a year later as President of Global Foil.

Prior to joining Alcoa, Muehlboeck worked for AMAG, a privately owned integrated aluminum company in Austria, for seven years in a series of sales and marketing management positions.

Muehlboeck is an active member of the European Aluminium Foil Association and the Alcoa Women's Network. She obtained a master degree in Business Administration and Languages from the University of Linz, Austria, and has also studied at the University of Seville, Spain and the University of Lyon, France. She is fluent in four languages.
