HOUSTON (November 11, 2008) - Aggreko plc, the global leader in rental power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air solutions, has promoted Dennis Haller to Vice President, Canada Business Unit and Marketing. Haller has spent the past four years with Aggreko as Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
In his new role, Haller will focus on directing the company's Canadian-based operation as it prepares to serve as the official supplier of temporary power and temperature control to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Haller will continue to lead the marketing team and report directly to George Walker, President of Aggreko's North America operations.
"Dennis is a proven leader in Aggreko and has a keen eye for business development, so this move is very exciting," said George Walker. "Significant opportunities for growth exist in the Canadian market, and Dennis' business development background makes him the perfect guy to lead our efforts there."
Haller led the recent acquisition of Power Plus Rentals and Sales in Western Canada. Power Plus is a highly regarded rental power specialist in Alberta, providing rental power solutions to businesses in the Athabasca Oil Sands in Alberta and Saskatchewan, where more than CN$10 billion a year is being invested in the development of the world's second largest oil reserve.
