SAN FRANCISCO - December 19, 2007 - Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), the leading provider of software and solutions for the investment management industry, today announced that Craig Collins has joined its executive management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Designate. In this position, Mr. Collins is responsible for supporting the company's growth strategies, maintaining communications with the investment community, and driving the operational excellence necessary to build value for shareholders for the long term.
"Craig's financial acumen, combined with his deep leadership experience in financial management, strategic planning and business development at publicly traded technology companies make him an ideal fit for Advent as we continue the growth phase for the company," said Stephanie DiMarco, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Advent. "Craig will work closely with me to ensure a smooth transition; in March 2008, following the filing of our annual report on Form 10-K, Craig will assume the role of CFO. Prior to joining Advent, Mr. Collins served as Executive Vice President and CFO at IronPort Systems, where he led the company to prepare for a public offering and ultimately helped facilitate the merger of IronPort and Cisco Systems. Before IronPort, Mr. Collins was Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and CFO at Brio Software, where he oversaw the merger with Hyperion Systems (now part of Oracle). Prior to that, Mr. Collins was Executive Vice President and CFO of CoSine Communications. Before CoSine, Mr. Collins served as Vice President and CFO of Optical Coating Laboratory which was acquired by JDS Uniphase. Mr. Collins also spent 18 years at Hills Bros. Coffee/Nestle Beverage Co., where he served as Senior Vice President of Finance, Chief Information Officer and held several other positions in finance and information technology.
