Aculight Corporation
11805 North Creek Parkway S., Ste 113
Bothell, WA, 98011
USA

Press release date: January 15, 2008

Bothell, Wash., January 15, 2008 - Aculight Corporation, a leading developer of innovative laser technologies, will introduce its expanded laser-based product portfolio at the Biomedical Optics Exhibition (BiOS) and Photonics West 2008 in San Jose, California, January 19th and 20th and 22nd through the 24th. Aculight will showcase both new and upgraded laser products for applications ranging from medical research and spectroscopy to LADAR and sensing.

"Following the move to our new manufacturing facility, 2007 was a year of continued growth for Aculight," said Dr. Andrew Brown, Aculight's director of business development. "We increased business across our target markets-aerospace, defense and medical. And, once again, we set performance records for the products we manufacture. At Photonics West we'll be showcasing an increased range of products with state-of-the-art performance based on fiber and other laser technologies. These products provide our customers significant advantages for their applications. Aculight also manufactures systems and components specifically for customer-driven applications through our OEM development and manufacturing activities."

At Photonics West booth #941 Aculight will feature:

o The Perseus(TM) family of pulsed fiber lasers, including its most compact, efficient, low-cost model to date, Perseus-TS. Perseus lasers offer high-peak-power, eye-safe output from a compact package. They're ideal for applications such as laser radar, surveying and surveillance.

o The Telesto(TM) family of rugged, high-peak-power, polarized, pulsed fiber lasers with output at 1 micron. Telesto lasers are tailored for applications ranging from mapping, surveillance and LADAR to nonlinear optics conversion and materials processing.

o The Argos(TM) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) for spectroscopy and sensing. Argos generates multi-watt, CW, continuously tunable mid-IR output in the 1.4 to 3.9 micron wavelength region. No other complete system matches the output power and broad tuning range of the Argos.

o The Aquarius(TM) green fiber laser system. Developed for underwater imaging and communications, the Aquarius provides multi-watt output power and short pulse generation.

Aculight will also show at Photonics West booth #941 and BiOS booth #8539:

o The Capella(TM) infrared nerve stimulator. Intended for the medical and scientific research markets, Capella gives users a new level of precision and control in nerve stimulation. Capella is Aculight's debut product for the medical research market, emerging from the company's enhanced medical manufacturing capabilities.
