Press release date: January 2, 2011

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is offering this active RFID fluid sensor tag used in such areas as ceiling mounted pipes, vulnerable floors, water delivery systems and air conditioning units. Featuring a thin-film leak senor, it can easily be applied to floors, walls, or even wrapped around pipes. The captured information is instantly broadcast to ensure real-time monitoring of environmental conditions at a site in order to alert as to adverse conditions.

This easy-to-use fluid sensor tag, model 124050, features wire-free monitoring, low battery indication and low power consumption. It transmits encoded data at 433MHz and provides instant dry or clear notification. Combining thin-film technology with real-time and wire-free environmental monitoring technology, the RFID tag provides the freedom and ease to conduct liquid detection wherever vulnerabilities to conductive liquids threaten expensive IT assets. More than 5000 unique IDs can be stored in the tag memory and the typical transmission range is up to 200ft. Moreover, this fluid sensor tag is encapsulated within an injection-molded polycarbonate enclosure making it tough, impact and splash resistant and temperature stable.
