AWWA Seminar Explores How to Prepare for Workforce Shortage



(DENVER, CO) - General managers, human resource professionals, training managers and utility department directors will learn the necessary steps in creating winning workforce plans at the "Mapping Your Course to a Successful Workforce Plan" seminar hosted by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) November 13-14 at the Hilton Fort Worth in Texas.

The two-day seminar led by Artis Dawson, former Director of Administration at East Bay Municipal Utility District in Oakland, Calif., and Terry Brueck, President of EMA, Inc., will cover such topics as workforce trends and planning models, recruiting, retention, knowledge management, and the generational and cultural differences occurring in today's workforce. Attendees will leave the seminar with the necessary skills to create a workforce plan for their utility.
