KOMPAS-3D V9 SP2 is now available
26 March 2008, St. Petersburg - ASCON Group, one of the leading vendor of professional CAD/CAM/PLM solutions, is glad to present improved version of its Mechanical CAD software KOMPAS-3D V9 SP2. KOMPAS solutions provide classic framework for 3D Solid Parametric Modelling , 2D Drafting, Design and Release of Documentations. One of the main novelties in KOMPAS-3D V9 SP2 is a newly developed autorun which allows direct installation of KOMPAS in one of four languages (English, German, French and Czech), provides easy access to technical documentation, support, as well as to KOMPAS Discussion Forum of users. An Interactive Learning System "KOMPAS-ABC" in German is one more improvement. Just 12 easy lessons in this system considerably simplify process of CAD learning and make faster move from 2D to 3D CAD. Initially was this system only in English and Russian languages available but now German-speaking designers, engineers and other KOMPAS users are able to spend even less time for learning of this powerful mechanical CAD solutions and more concentrate on design.
Another important add-on in KOMPAS-3D is TraceParts library. With help of the library to extend ASCON its own database with a variety of leading parts supplier catalogs. KOMPAS users have the ability to import manufacturers and standard parts direct from TraceParts library. It is one of the largest Mechanical Parts libraries in the world and allows to work with more than 100 million 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, containing European-based and other parts suppliers in the tooling, machinery, aerospace, automotive and many others industries.
