AIM Expo 2011 to Co-Locate in Las Vegas

Cranberry Township, PA - The Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM) has announced that the AIM Expo 2011, to take place September 26-28 at the Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, NV, USA, will co-locate with long-running Pack Expo Las Vegas. This year's theme is Automatic identification and mobility solutions: Advancing knowledge, exploring technology and driving efficiency.

Following the successful launch in 2010 of AIM Expo, the Association has formed an agreement with PMMI (producers of Pack Expo) to promote the two events as a valuable package for attendees of both shows. Pack Expo Las Vegas, one of the longest running exhibitions within the packaging market, draws 25,000 attendees to their annual event, held alternate years in Las Vegas and Chicago.

The AIM Expo conference fills an educational gap by providing opportunities for those just beginning to explore and learn about automatic identification technologies like bar code, RFID, RTLS and enterprise mobile computing, as well as providing timely updates about applications which are emerging.

"We are excited to partner with PMMI to provide this opportunity to continue and expand the Association's educational mission. The type of solutions-driven education we provide as an industry trade association enables us to deliver a solid, unbiased program that cuts across industry and technology boundaries," states Chuck Evanhoe, AIM Expo Chairman. "The event will address the need for ongoing education about the use of bar codes, RFID, and mobile computing technologies. The addition of a packaging track this year should be of interest to the broad audience of Pack Expo attendees."

The AIM Expo conference program will feature educational tracks on government, healthcare, manufacturing, mobile workforce, and retail. Additionally, new to the program for 2011 are sessions Auto ID in Packaging and Internet of Things. The sessions will identify state of the art applications and solutions on how to improve operations, streamline production, reduce costs and enhance overall business processes. The Expo will also feature a solutions showcase in the exhibit hall represented by the leading automatic identification and Mobile IT providers.

"We look forward to working with AIM this year," says Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows, PMMI. "For many of our members, attendees and exhibitors, this co location will add even more value to an already great event."

This year's PACK EXPO Leadership Lecture will be delivered by General Colin Powell, retired (USA) on Tuesday, September 27, 2011.
