Spokane Valley, Washington, USA - ACE Production Technologies will exhibit a range of selective soldering technology and systems at IPC Midwest Exhibition & Conference, September 22-23, 2012.Shown in the ACE booth, #318, will be the KISS-101A and KISS 101B selective soldering machines. In addition, ACE's expert process lab technicians will be available to answer questions about Selective Soldering Tips and Techniques. The trade show is being held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, Schaumburg, Illinois.
The KISS-101A is a cost effective, entry level selective soldering machine. "This system is popular especially with companies doing prototype volume, quick turn jobs that have a few through-hole components" states Alan Cable, President. The KISS-101A is by far the lowest cost automated selective soldering machine available using the proven 'traveling mini-solder wave" soldering process. Yet the system will out-produce 3 or more operators soldering with an iron while significantly increasing the solder joint quality and to a predictable schedule.
The KISS-101B is a low cost automated selective soldering machine featuring a lead alloy solder pot,spray fluxer and a programming camera, all in an enclosed superstructure. "The KISS-101B combines high throughput with precise process controls, "he adds. "The programmable features provide the tools to set all process parameters, and once set, the system will repeat precisely. The affordable KISS 101-B has all the capability needed to perform all required selective soldering functions, including programming, camera assisted alignment, spray flux application and the capability to take advantage of all ACE soldering nozzle technologies. The KISS 101-B is suitable for lead-free solders and can reduce hand soldering operations by up to a factor of 10, resulting in Return on Investment of just a few months.
