ABB has Appointed Clarissa Haller Head of Group Corporate Communications


Zurich, Switzerland, September 11, 2006 - ABB said today Clarissa Haller was appointed head of Group Corporate Communications. She will join the company at its Zurich headquarters on October 1, 2006.

Clarissa held leading positions in corporate communications with both DaimlerChrysler Aerospace in Munich for eight years and for six years with Bahlsen KG in Hannover, Germany.

Most recently she was Head of Communications and a member of the Divisional Executive Committee of the Diagnostics Division of F.Hoffmann-La Roche AG based in Basel, Switzerland. Clarissa has a Master of Arts degree from Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich.

Commenting on the appointment, ABB President and CEO, Fred Kindle said: "Clarissa joins ABB at an exciting and productive time. We are looking forward to working with her to develop and promote ABB's strong brand world-wide."

Clarissa succeeds Bjorn Edlund who is now working for Royal Dutch Shell.
