Sterling Machinery Exchange Sponsors The Discovery Channel's "Doing Da Vinci" Television Series

It's Been Over 500 Years Since Leonardo Da Vinci Designed His War Machines Designed For The Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza and Cesare Borgia of Florence. Now for the first time ever, his outrageous designs will be built thanks to todays Modern machinery from www.SterlingMachinery.com

500 years ago these larger than life designs could not even be built. Now with help from Sterling Machinery Exchange, Da Vinci's designs are coming to life in a big way.

Watch as a team of designer, engineers, artist, and special effects creators, attempt to build Da Vinci's 500 year old sketches of a Mid Evil Tank with Gun Turrets, A 80' wooden crossbow, A Castle Siege Tower, the First Machine Gun and the largest catapult ever created, and many more.

One of the greatest artists of all time, the legacy of Leonardo daVinci (1452-1519) includes some of the most well-known paintings ever made. But daVinci's talent exceeded far beyond painting - he was also a successful architect and engineer, and his drawings of military weapons have been highly regarded and studied for nearly 500 years.

These drawings capture exceptionally engineered weapons unlike anything that had been developed at the time they were created, yet there is no record that these designs were ever constructed ... until now. Discovery Channel's six-part world premiere original series, DOING DAVINCI, puts a team of 21st century builders, engineers and historians together to take on one of history's greatest minds as they attempt to build daVinci's weapons once and for all.

Armored Tank
The team takes a shot at constructing one of da Vinci's most futuristic designs: the armored tank. This machine, envisioned by Leonardo in the 15th Century, could rival modern-day inventions. But will it work?
Premiere: Mon, April 13

Siege Ladder
The crew attempts to build the renaissance master's most massive design: a towering three-story siege ladder. But as creative differences arise, tension threatens to pull the team apart.

Scythe Chariot
The danger level hits a new high when the team devotes their talent to re-creating Leonardo's deadly bladed chariot. But instead of horsepower, the team updates da Vinci's 15th-century design with robot power.

Machine Gun
The guys take a shot at building a multi-cannon machine gun. The team is on high alert throughout the build, as they work with hazardous black powder - an unstable substance that could detonate all on its own.
