Focus Security Conference will Empower Businesses to Maximize Their Security Risk Management Investments
DALLAS, Oct. 17 / -- McAfee, Inc. (NYSE:MFE), the world's leading dedicated security company, today announced that it is creating a new annual conference designed to help organizations get the most out of their security risk management investments. The McAfee Focus Security Conference 2008 will take place in three information-packed days that will include industry-leading keynotes, breakouts, and special sessions. The first event is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Oct. 20-23, 2008. Speaker submissions are welcome.

McAfee announced the Focus Security Conference at its inaugural Strategic Executive Security Summit in Dallas. The event, hosted by DeWalt, brought together nearly 200 of McAfee's top customers and partners. A precursor to the Focus Security Conference, the agenda for the Summit was designed to provide interaction in all sessions, as well as ample time for networking and a platform for open dialogue.
Speakers at the Strategic Executive Security Summit included McAfee Chief Security Officer Dr. Martin Carmichael, Andreas Antonopoulos, vice president and founding partner, Nemertes Research and Erez Liebermann, assistant United States Attorney, District of New Jersey Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Section. The Honorable Greg Abbott, Attorney General of Texas, was awarded the McAfee® Cybercrime Fighter Award at the event on Tuesday.
