Psion Teklogix 7535 Handheld Computer Certified for Cisco Compatible Extensions Version 3

Psion Teklogix Achieves Key Certification on Windows CE-Based Hand-held Computer

Mississauga, ON - September 12, 2006 - Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, wireless data collection, imaging and RFID today announced that the Psion Teklogix 7535 hand-held computer is certified for Cisco Compatible Extensions Version 3. The Psion Teklogix 7535 is a business-class mobile device that runs Windows CE .NET. Prior to the Cisco Compatible Extensions certification of the Psion Teklogix 7535, the only computing devices that had achieved Cisco Compatible Extensions Version 3 were notebook PCs running Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The Cisco Compatible Extensions certification was achieved using the Summit Data Communications SDC-CF10G 802.11b/g compact flash radio module, which is both Cisco Compatible Extensions v3 certified and Wi-Fi CERTIFIED®.

Achieving Cisco Compatible Extensions certification reaffirms the Psion Teklogix commitment to the growing needs of the enterprise WLAN market. The certification to Version 3 provides fully tested support for features including AP-assisted roaming and Cisco Complementary Key Management for fast and secure roaming between APs, and Cisco Radio Management and AP-specified client transmit power for better client management.,

"Summit's focus is to provide our radio modules across a diverse range of applications and market segments. Our collaboration with Psion Teklogix results in a comprehensive solution that delivers the value of enterprise-class Wi-Fi to companies around the globe," said Ron Seide, president of Summit Data Communications. "Psion Teklogix has an outstanding reputation in the global supply chain and logistics market, and we look forward to ongoing collaboration with them to meet their customer's evolving requirements."

While Cisco Compatible Extensions relies on a Cisco-defined specification, Wi-Fi CERTIFIED is defined by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Testing and certification programs of the Wi-Fi Alliance, a non-profit industry association, ensure the interoperability of products based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 WLAN specifications. One of the key areas of Wi-Fi testing is security. Every product that seeks Wi-Fi certification must demonstrate support for Wi-Fi Protected Access(TM) (WPA(TM)) and WPA2(TM). The Wi-Fi Alliance certified the Summit Data Communications radio module to interoperate with the 802.11b and 802.11g standards and support the WPA2-Enterprise program.

With an industry-leading IP65 rating for protection from dust and water, the Psion Teklogix 7535 can withstand high levels of shock and vibration, as well as multiple drops to concrete from heights of 6.5 feet. The 7535 is lightweight, ideally balanced and equipped with a large color touch screen for ease of visibility.

"We are very proud of the work that Psion Teklogix has done with market leader Summit Data Communications," said Ron Caines, vice president of marketing, Psion Teklogix Inc. "Being able to offer our customers the 7535 with these certifications is a significant step for Psion Teklogix globally. The 7535 is one of our core mobile computing devices and we will continue to make it more flexible for our customers."

The Psion Teklogix' 7535 certified for Cisco Compatible Extensions Version 3 using the Summit Data Wi-Fi CERTIFIED radio module will be available in Q4 2006 through Psion Teklogix' global sales offices.
