LAS VEGAS, NV -- Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with HMBS in Iraq for all Cummins brand products and equipment. The announcement came during Power Gen International 2005, the world's largest annual trade show for the power generation industry. For the Cummins power generation business unit, Cummins Power Generation, HMBS will represent all the products in the commercial generator set business and power electronics (switchgear, transfer switches and power protection systems). Cummins Power Generation designs, manufactures, installs and maintains diesel and gas emergency standby, temporary and prime power generation systems ranging from 12 kilowatts to 2700 kilowatts.

"Cummins Power Generation is proud to be the first generator set manufacturer to establish a distributorship in Iraq that covers the whole country," says Antonio Leitao, General Manager of the commercial power generation business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. "As a global company with a network of over 170 local distributors, Cummins believes strongly in maintaining a local presence to provide the best possible customer service. HMBS is a large and stable partner for this endeavor."
