Florence-Darlington Technical College chooses 3D Systems technology for its state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Center

Rock Hill, South Carolina, Oct. 23, 2007 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today that the newly created Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT) at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) has equipped its Advanced Manufacturing Center with 3D Systems' entire portfolio of systems and solutions.

This new Advanced Manufacturing Center, the first phase of the 146-acre SiMT campus, recently opened next to FDTC with the mission of becoming the premiere training facility for industry in the southeastern portion of the United States and providing leading-edge manufacturing and business process training and education while advancing economic development.

The Advanced Manufacturing Center is equipped with 3D Systems' latest 3-D Modeling, Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering technologies, designed to impart state-of-the-art training to enable faster concept-to-market products. With an InVision® XT 3-D Modeler, a Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System equipped with dual vat capabilities, a Sinterstation® Pro system and a high-speed Sinterstation® HiQ(TM) metal system, the Center will train businesses in advanced Rapid Manufacturing techniques as well as provide Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing start-up and incubation support to emerging high-tech companies across the South.
