"Logistics Cost and Service 2013" CSCMP Presentation and Dinner Meeting November 21, 2013

MAIN PRESENTATION:

Establish has compiled a logistics cost and service database which is updated annually since 1973. The hundreds of companies that have contributed data represent a broad cross]section of manufacturing and service companies. Specific data elements include costs for transportation and warehousing, order and line fill rates, cycle times, and information availability. Presentation will outline the 2013 cost/service data, show the long] and short]term trends in the data, and discuss the implications these trends have for the logistics/distribution community.

MAIN SPEAKER:

Conrad Ross is a management consultant specializing in the supply chain – a discipline in which he has extensive end-to-end experience.    He also has a strong background in systems design, planning, marketing, and accounting.

While Conrad considers himself a management consultant, he is also the CEO of Establish, Inc.  Client assignments have included projects in the automotive, communications, electronics (consumer and industrial), food and beverage, health and beauty aids, medical, pharmaceutical, primary metals, publish¬ing, and trans¬portation industries and the retail trade.  They have resulted in multi-million dollar reductions in annual operating costs, expanded capacities and capabilities, and improved customer service performance levels that have resulted in increased sales and market share.

In addition, Conrad also has over 20 years of management experience in the corporate environment.  Prior to joining Establish, Inc., he held several progressively responsible supply chain/logistics positions at the Matsushita Electric Company of America. He was employed early in his career by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, publishers where he managed regional and national customer service and distribution operations.

Conrad is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.  He is a member of a number of professional organizations including CSCMP.
