Congressional legislation for multiyear, fully-funded transportation infrastructure program would boost employment in industry, Slater added. Slater also points to Start Us Up USA! Campaign, by AEM and AED, which says that U.S. equipment industry has had loss of 37% of workforce and 40% of economic output since 2006.

Through study, ASHRAE is seeking to improve energy efficiency of ventilation systems while maintaining air quality by determining relationship between ventilation rates and IAQ, using measured ventilation and pollutant concentration data. Measurements will be conducted in general merchandise, department, supermarket, restaurant, and home improvement/hardware stores.
