NASA, FAA Sign MOU to advance commercial space transportation.

June 19, 2012

FAA and NASA signed agreement to coordinate standards for commercial space travel of government and non-government astronauts to and from low-Earth orbit and International Space Station (ISS). Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes policy for operational missions to space station. Commercial providers will be required to obtain license from FAA for public safety, while crew safety and mission assurance will be NASA's responsibility. Read More
