Original Press Release:

New ARM9 Industrial Computer with CAN

The new Matrix-522 from DSL is a Linux-ready ARM9-powered, embedded industrial computer. With a small form-factor, low power consumption and dual CAN (Control Area Network) bus 2.0 ports, the Matrix-522 is ideal for automotive, factory automation and industrial control system applications.

With a 400MHz ARM9 CPU along with 64MB SDRAM, 128MB NAND Flash and 2MB Data Flash built-in, the Matrix-522 delivers impressive performance. Other flexible I/O interfaces include two LANs, two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, two USB hosts and 21 GPIOs.

The Matrix-522's two isolated CAN bus 2.0 compliant ports support CANSocket and
CANOpen APIs. The pre-installed Linux 2.6.29 OS includes SocketCAN, the open source CAN driver and network stack to allow multiple applications to access one CAN device simultaneously.

Powerful fail-proof capabilities for system backup and recovery also allow users to easily recover the file system, or duplicate it to other Matrix-522 systems.
