WDR SWIR Camera Systems serve fast triggered imaging applications.
Without any processing or tone mapping, New Imaging Technologies (NIT) wide-dynamic-range (WDR), indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) SWIR sensors and camera systems deliver dynamic range >140 dB inÃ- one snapshot. InGaAs photodiode array features ROIC andÃÂ comes in 640 x 512 (15 micron pitch) or 320 x 256 (25 micron pitch) pixel resolution; both operate in from 900–1,700 nm. Under all...

Explaining what is Continuous Inkjet (CIJ), and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), this paper lists out the challenges in high-speed CIJ printing such as illegibility or misinterpretation of data by machine vision OCR. Including examples highlighting the common print defects, it shows how collecting information regarding common defects on any given production line from quality managers and factory technicians can help in designing an OCR machine vision solution. Highlighting that simple pixel-based algorithms can solve the most common problems caused by CIJ print defects, it presents solutions that are divided into three primary groups: Pixel-Based Vision Tools; OCR Tools and Match String Input; and, OCR Tools with Custom Pass/Fail Logic. It concludes that understanding the advantages and disadvantages of each of the possible machine vision solutions for OCR, given herein, can help manufacturers to define the correct approach for their production line.
