Prepolarized microphones are powered by 2-20 mA signal conditioner and standard coaxial cables, eliminating need for power supplies and cabling. Prepolarized designs can be used with same constant current supply required for ICP-® accelerometers, enabling microphones to be used alongside accelerometers in test situations, minimizing set-up time.
