Suited for wet/dry rough and finish machining of aluminum work pieces, insert uses ultra-fine diamond grains for elimination of burrs. Cutting edge offers chipping resistance in milling applications.

Grade DL1000, with blue-luster diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, maintains corrosive resistance and low friction coefficient of .05-.2 and promotes good chip control. Aluminum-alloy adhesion on edge is suppressed to decrease cutting resistance. Generation of build-up edge is suppressed, maintaining sharpness of edge. Insert suits dry machining of aluminum alloys and non-ferrous applications.
