Women in Manufacturing Summit Podcast: Allison Grealis, WIM Director

Oct 24, 2013

Women from across the country converged on Dearborn, Mich., this week for the third annual Women in Manufacturing Summit.

Driving the two-day event was Allison Grealis, WIM director, who explained in an exclusive podcast interview how the summit evolved from a small group of women in manufacturing to a large-scale conference which attracted nearly 300 women leaders. She also spoke about partnering with schools to get the next generation of women involved in the workforce, and how the summit helps women in leadership roles break down barriers of a male-dominated workplace.

The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) was the host of this year's summit which spotlights the success stories of women in industry through panel discussions, educational sessions and several plant tours at local companies.

Grealis announced that the WIM Summit 2014 will be held in Chicago.
