Quatro 4050 IC Optimizes Performance for Consumer Inkjet and All-in-One Printers
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 19 / Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ:ZRAN) announced that its Quatro® 4050 highly integrated, fully programmable processor has been deployed in Samsung's Myjet series of inkjet and all-in-one (AIO) printers for the consumer and home office markets.

Samsung's Myjet printer models MJC-5700 and MJC-6700 print at 18 to 20 pages-per-minute (ppm) in monochrome and 12 to 13 ppm in color. Samsung's SCX-1450 AIO model prints and copies at 20 ppm in monochrome and 13 ppm in color. All these models support a 4-color ink configuration for printing standard documents and a 6-color configuration for printing photos. The Myjet SCX-1450 AIO printer also offers copy and scan features as well as the ability to print directly from a camera phone, a camcorder or a digital camera using USB PictBridge.

Zoran's Quatro® 4050 processor series enables a new class of ultra-low-cost, AIO printers and direct-connect photo printers. It provides original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with an embedded scanner analog front-end (AFE) and a basic feature set optimized for the most cost-sensitive applications.
