Marketers, package designers, brand managers and converters can gain insight into a wide range of resealable closures designed to enhance the consumer experience.
Manteno, Illinois -- Zip-Pak will feature its latest resealable closure technologies at FachPack 2013 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg, Germany, September 24-26. Company representatives will be available to demonstrate the unique advantages of Zip-Pak’s complete range of closure systems at the company’s exhibit located in Hall 7, Stand 7-109.
Among the many Zip-Pak flexible packaging solutions being featured at FachPack this year are:
Sensus™ Sensory Feedback Fastener
Sensus is Zip-Pak’s latest closure innovation and the first in a family of resealable closures called Sensory Feedback Fasteners; they feature performance characteristics that appeal to a consumer’s sense of sound, sight, smell or touch. The Sensus re-closure profile is specifically designed to create a tactile bumping sensation and audible clicking noise when the zipper is opened or resealed.
These tactile and audible prompts provide consumers complete assurance that their flexible package has firmly been sealed. Sensus can be applied to virtually any type of flexible packaging regardless of pouch size, and is especially well suited for form-fill-seal machine applications. Recently making its commercial debut under the Entremont brand of shredded cheese, Sensus is also ideal for a wide range of flexible packaged products, including meats, cereal, granola, candy, salty snacks, pet treats and pet foods, detergents and other household products.
Vector™ Resealable Matrix Fastener
Vector is a proprietary self-sealing matrix closure system that closes securely without precisely lining up the opposing segments. Because Vector closes on itself and has no end termination, it represents an easy-to-use alternative to traditional zipper profiles. With Vector, consumers can scoop and pour flexible package contents with full perimeter resealability, making it an ideal closure for a variety of applications. Vector can be integrated into existing manufacturing lines with only minor modifications to machinery required.
Slider Select is a cost-effective, ultra-compact slider system. Its reduced-mass closure features an ergonomically designed “clip” that enables easy opening and resealing by consumers of all ages. Slider Select’s highly reliable zipper also features a leak resistant profile and high inside-burst strength for enhanced package integrity and greater product protection.
The Zip360 resealable pouch has a wide opening that allows easy access to contents. It features pour-spout functionality for easy product dispensing. The unique package format reseals two ways for neater stacking and easier access. The Zip360 flexible pouch also accepts full-panel graphics for more visual impact at point of purchase. Like all of Zip-Pak’s resealable flexible packaging solutions, Zip360 eliminates the need for consumers to transfer package contents into a separate unbranded container after first and subsequent use. This keeps brand name and messaging in front of consumers throughout the product’s lifecycle.
