Zero Gravity Filters Easy Clean Specified to Protect High Pressure Pumps for New Engine Program

The manufacturing world continues to increase the use of high-pressure fluids for machining, cleaning and deburring. The pressures range from 500 psi to over 5,000 psi. The tolerances of these high-pressure pumps and fluid circuits require relatively clean fluid. The filters that protect this equipment must be extremely reliable and provide consistent effluent fluid quality. Zero Gravity Filters (ZGF) technology has earned the trust and confidence of the designers and users of high-pressure fluid systems for the automotive industry, and is becoming the technology of choice.

Zero Gravity Filters offers a complete line of automatic liquid filtration systems ideally suited for the metal working and parts cleaning industries. Unlike conventional automatic filtration, having a fixed wedge wire screen, the 'zero gravity' filter element opens during backwash. A patented manufacturing process allows a spiral coil to open evenly from top to bottom, ensuring 100% cleaning with each and every backwash, providing uninterrupted 24/7 operation. By opening during backwash, the filter element quickly overcomes the common problems of particles jamming in the gap of a fixed wedge wire screen.

A permanent stainless steel filter element eliminates the high operating costs of disposable filters. Uninterrupted flow during backwash increases system up-time, and automatic operation reduces maintenance costs.

Applications range from removing fines from machine coolant to protecting high-pressure pumps, tools, and nozzles; and wash baths to meet part cleanliness specifications. Filter systems are available to accommodate large central coolant systems, individual machines, and small to large parts washers. Raised nidges on the coil's surface ensures absolute filtration ratings from 25 to 400 micron.
