Zenverge and Digital Keystone Demonstrate Secure High-Throughput Transcode Solution for IP Media Gateway at NCTA 2012

BOSTON - Zenverge and Digital Keystone will demonstrate a highly scalable turnkey solution for securely delivering content dynamically formatted for iOS, Android, and IP-STB devices in the "subscriber domain." This will be showcased in the Zenverge suite at NCTA 2012.

The combination of the Zenverge ZN200 quad HD Content Networking IC and Digital Keystone Maelstrom® software brings premium live and recorded TV to any authenticated device in the subscriber domain, while at the same time reducing network storage and bandwidth requirements through DK's innovative CDN Shaping(TM) technology.

Shawn Saleem, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Zenverge, said: "Digital Keystone has identified a market need for securing, controlling, and delivering content to consumer devices, and has developed a complete software suite in response to this need. Maelstrom is an elegant software solution that overcomes the inefficiencies and vulnerabilities of legacy products. The combination of the ZN200 and Maelstrom has already generated significant demand, and we're excited to share in this as we work together on a tightly-integrated system in order to provide a complete solution to operators worldwide."

Paolo Siccardo, President and CEO of Digital Keystone, said: "Zenverge has come up with highly optimized, dedicated transcode silicon that supports multiple streams of simultaneous real-time transcoding and encryption. This is a perfect complement to Maelstrom, which takes advantage of the Zenverge silicon to deliver adaptive-bitrate streams in the native format and DRM supported by the most popular client devices. The Zenverge architecture enables breakthrough gateway devices, and we're very excited to be collaborating with Zenverge on this."

Zenverge's ICs use advanced content networking capabilities with their powerful TransALL(TM) Transcode engine to TransFormat(TM), TransRate(TM), TransScale(TM), TransCopy(TM), TransZip(TM), TransCrypt(TM), TransQoS(TM) and TransWrap(TM) content in a compact, power-efficient, and cost-effective footprint.

Digital Keystone's Maelstrom consists of the Maelstrom Media Streamer for transcoding and secure transcription, and the Maelstrom Domain Manager for network optimization and domain management. With Maelstrom, premium TV services are delivered without the need to download any plug-ins, installing any applications, or configuring any custom code. The service provider can easily customize and control their offer, including search, recommendations, advertising and promotions, for a rich, secure and friendly viewer experience.
