Zebra Technologies' Mobile Printers Now Supported by SAP NetWeaver® Mobile
Customers can output directly to Zebra mobile printers from mobile SAP® solutions
VERNON HILLS, Ill., April 17 /-- Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ:ZBRA) today announced that the SAP NetWeaver® Mobile platform now includes a driver for Zebra's mobile printers, allowing mobile workers to output receipts, labels, delivery confirmation notices, invoices and other documentation directly from their mobile SAP® solutions. Zebra supported SAP in developing the driver, which can be used with direct store delivery (DSD), field service, mobile sales and any other application developed with SAP NetWeaver Mobile, SAP's technical foundation for enterprise mobility.
By printing at the point of contact, solutions from SAP and Zebra enable a mobile workforce to better ensure invoice accuracy, prevent delivery and ordering errors, provide proof of delivery and support electronic settlement. The Zebra driver simplifies system management and provides flexibility for a variety of output options.
The driver is available now for Zebra Cameo 3 mobile printers. Drivers for Zebra's QL and RW series printers are in development and are expected to be available late in the second quarter of this year. Current SAP customers can add the Cameo driver through the SAP NetWeaver 2004 Support Package Stack 15. SAP NetWeaver Mobile provides offline access to SAP solutions or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems via portable devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs) or laptops.

The open architecture of the SAP NetWeaver Mobile platform allows integration of third-party software solutions, enabling SAP customers to easily deploy mobile solutions. SAP NetWeaver is the open integration and application portal to third-party software applications that share data with the mySAP(TM) ERP solution. SAP NetWeaver Mobile includes support for a number of mobile hardware platforms and accessories.
