Misumi Expands XYZ-Axis Stages Offering

Over 40 more items added to existing line, including new designs, materials and finishes

Schaumburg, IL-MISUMI USA, Inc. announces the immediate availability of over 40 new additions to its established line of XYZ-axis stages for machine builders and other designers of high-precision motion systems. Many of these new stages offer a precise linear ball guide system, developed by Misumi engineers, which creates a gothic arch groove ball guide on both the upper and lower side of the stage body. With two arcs and four ball contact points, a considerably higher rigidity is achievable. Furthermore, these new stages all have Misumi low-temp black chrome plating as one of the many options available, when low-light reflectivity or harsh environment operation are required.

Misumi's new stages are offered in all axis combinations. Materials of construction available include aluminum with black anodizing, brass or 440C stainless with electroless nickel plating. Dovetail, linear ball and crossed roller styles are offered, with rack & pinion, feed screw or micrometer head feed mechanisms to allow the optimum combination of precision, durability and value for the application required.

As examples, the XSGB Series X-axis stages feature a linear ball guide system, low-temp black chrome plating and the highest movement accuracy to 3 mm straightness.

The XSL Series multi-mount stages with dovetail feed screw feature rotation of the positioning handle to ¼ of the rack & pinion and a multi-start thread to provide rapid yet smooth movement.

Misumi's new XEEG Series X-axis stages with dovetail groove and hexagonal wrench design feature low overall height and no handle for considerable space savings, improved security with socket head screw and corrosion-resistant, low-temp black chrome plating.

Full specifications, delivery options and all pricing information may be found in the 2008 metric catalog or online.
