Newly Designed Sleek Fujitsu LifeBook A6110 Notebook Delivers Unmatched Image Quality and Reliability in Sub-$900 Notebook Class

SUNNYVALE, CA -- 10/16/07 -- Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation expanded its line of high performing, reliable, low-priced notebooks, today announcing the LifeBook® A6110 notebook. The LifeBook A6110 notebook is a standout in the sub-$900 class, with a host of the latest multimedia features and a 15.4-inch wide high-contrast Crystal View LCD that delivers brighter images and richer colors.

The LifeBook A6110 notebook sports a crisp, sleeker design with curved palm rests and defined lines. Students, small businesses and home users will find that the LifeBook A6110 notebook's energy efficient Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo processor delivers the computing power needed for entertainment and business tasks.

The LifeBook A6110 notebook offers exceptional durability, with Fujitsu Intelligent Shock Sensor technology safeguarding the hard drive from accidental bumps, vibrations and drops, and a spill resistant keyboard protecting against accidental spills. The LifeBook A6110 also secures data with an optional biometric fingerprint swipe for security and password management.

"With the introduction of the LifeBook A6110 notebook, Fujitsu gives consumers yet another reason to move from an outdated desktop to a mobile notebook," said Paul Moore, senior director of mobile product marketing, Fujitsu Computer Systems. "The image quality delivered by the 15.4-inch wide screen is unmatched at its price point, the feature set is ideal for both work and leisure, and the reliability is outstanding."

Fujitsu has established itself as the clear Wintel laptop leader for reliability and customer satisfaction, according to PC Magazine's 20th annual Reader Satisfaction Survey. For the fourth year in a row, Fujitsu scored significantly better than average in overall satisfaction, reliability, and likelihood of recommending, and this year received the highest scores in these categories of any Wintel notebook manufacturer.

The LifeBook A6110 notebook offers a variety of connection options with the Atheros Super AG® Wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet LAN and quad mode Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN providing access to the new Intel® "Connect with Centrino®" wireless N Access Points and Routers. Connecting to other data sources is easy through five USB 2.0 ports and an IEEE 1394 port. In addition to Memory Stick®/SD/xD slots, the LifeBook A6110 notebook offers both a dedicated ExpressCard(TM) and PC Card, a duo generally not offered in this price class.

An optional built-in camera and digital microphone, centered just above the display, make it easy to take still pictures, capture video and enjoy videoconferencing with family and friends. In addition, the LifeBook A6110 notebook features an optional Point and Write touch-pad option for snipping images, navigation and short note taking.

The LifeBook A6110 notebook is equipped with the Mobile Intel® GM965 Express chipset, featuring the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, which provides outstanding video playback with sharper image quality, increased clarity, and customizable color controls. With support for a variety of DVD formats, including Dual Layer DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, DVD-RAM, and the optional Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer, the LifeBook A6110 notebook makes it easy to tap into the entire DVD world. The optional Intel® Turbo Memory delivers faster boot time, increases battery life and improves system performance when loading frequently-used applications.
