Anuga FoodTec 2012 Bosch to Present New Filling Solutions

Hygiene, Flexibility and a New Pack Style

o SurePOUCH: clean-fill flexible packs provide product differentiation
o Thermoforming clean-fill machine meets high standards
o Preventive Maintenance service concept for increased profitability

Bosch Packaging Technology will implement global launches for two new filling solutions for liquid food at Anuga FoodTec 2012 in Cologne including the new SurePOUCH flexible pack style and the new thermoforming clean-fill machine, TFC.

The new SurePOUCH stand-up flexible pack styles will allow for multiple packaging and fitment options for a high level of flexibility and shelf differentiation. High hygiene standards are achieved as the product is filled directly into the pouch rather than through the spout. The spout is ultrasonically welded to the exterior of the pouch, so the product does not come into contact with the spout until opened by the consumer. The new lightweight pack styles also present benefits due to their ease of disposability and collapsibility once vacant.

The new TFC clean-fill thermoforming machine is an addition to the Bosch portfolio of forming and filling technologies. Its existing aseptic thermoforming portfolio allows manufacturers to achieve high hygienic standards for example for dairy creamers, desserts and baby food. The new TFC thermoforming technology extends this range to provide a solution for the filling of fresh products, foods requiring extended shelf life such as yogurts and desserts, and single-serve portions of butter, margarine, condiments and coffee. It is also suitable for cold filling, hot filling and retortable products like ready meals and pet food.

Bosch will also launch its new service concept - Preventive Maintenance. The aim of the service is to ensure that appropriate maintenance activities are conducted at scheduled intervals. Carried out by a Bosch service professional on site, the service helps customers optimize the performance of machinery and packaging lines. The Preventive Maintenance service ranges from basic modules, which includes line check-ups, to full preventive maintenance. The more comprehensive module includes full-time support on-site by an embedded engineer. Customers can opt for the ideal module depending on their specific needs, taking into account the level of maintenance activities performed, the product environment and seasonal changes in production volume. Through the modular approach of the Preventive Maintenance service, Bosch enables customers to reduce losses and increase uptime and profitability with the ideal service agreement.

The extended portfolio of filling solutions for liquid food and the Preventive Maintenance service will be on display in Bosch's booth at Anuga FoodTec (Hall 6-01, Booth B010-C019), 27-30 March 2012, Cologne.
