Power Outages Are Out, Arctic Control Is Here

Power blackouts can now be a thing of the past. Arctic Control the latest product from Viola Systems makes it now possible for the Electricity Distribution to monitor and operate the network remotely.
Reducing the frequency and duration of power outage is one of the key targets for service improvement of the Distribution Companies. Using Arctic Control, power is restored immediately by remotely monitoring and controlling the field devices in the Electrical Network.
Mr. Jyrki Penttonen, CEO of Viola Systems explains that the strategy for the Distribution Companies in the Smart Networks is to divide them in small zones. In the event of a power fault, the effected zone is isolated from the other areas. Arctic Control provides the vital communication link between the centralised control room and monitoring and operating the Medium Voltage field devices.
Arctic Control has been specifically designed to meet the high availability and security needs of a Distribution Company. Retrofitting with the existing assets, connection with multiple switchgear and disconnectors are some of the key features of Arctic Control.
