Two New Application Notes on Sulfur in Copper Base Materials Available from LECO

St. Joseph, Mich.—LECO Corporation has released two new application notes: Sulfur in Copper Base Materials Using the CS844 and Sulfur in Copper Base Materials Using the CS744.

These application notes demonstrate how producers can certify the amount of sulfur present in a sample using LECO’s CS844 Series and the CS744 Series. The concentration of sulfur in copper or copper alloy is one of the more important quality control parameters monitored during copper production, as high sulfur levels have been associated with embrittlement, a pronounced decrease in ductility. Producers that are able to certify the amount of sulfur present can insure that users of their product will be able to form, bend, and spool without concern of cracking.

Both the CS844 Series and CS744 Series utilize LECO’s exclusive Cornerstone® software, which provides the user with complete access to analysis control, method settings, diagnostics, reporting, and more in a highly-organized and immersive environment. Designed through a collaboration of customer feedback and innovative engineering, Cornerstone allows the user to conduct all of their day-to-day operations within a single Analysis screen designed for speed and ease-of-use. An innovative grouping of sample data simplifies data output and automatically calculates relevant statistics, alleviating the need for additional data processing.
