FocalSpot Announces Modular X-Ray Inspection Solution Designed to Adapt with Growing Inspection Requirements
San Diego, California (February 22, 2005) - FocalSpot, Inc (www.focalspot.com), a provider of advanced BGA/SMT inspection and rework solutions to the SMT electronic manufacturers industry, announced today that they will be unveiling their new Modular X-Ray Inspection System the "Concept FX" at the APEX 2005 Trade Show in Anaheim, California February 22nd - 23rd in booth 1201.
The Concept FX (prototype name) is a Modular X-Ray Inspection System designed to be adaptable, upgradeable and expandable to fit the most basic to the most demanding application requirements, as needed. The Ability to upgrade has obvious financial and product life-cycle advantages while providing the ultimate in application flexibility.

o Three (3) X-Ray Source Options: 80, 90 and 130kV Tubes

The Concept FX can be configured as a manual or semi-automatic inspection solution. Applications include failure analysis, semiconductor inspection and rework verification of large bare or populated PCB assemblies up to 20"x24" or down to individual component packages for inspection of wire-bonds and die-attachments. The Concept FX has a compact 44"W x 38'D x 70"H footprint and several unique design features not found on other systems.
