Clampco North America Launches New Line of Worm Gear Clamps

Wadsworth, OH (April 2007) -- Clampco North America, Ltd., located in Brantford, Ontario, has launched a new line of worm gear hose clamps. The worm gear clamps will address the majority of hose clamp fastening applications in the commercial and industrial markets. The new line will also give Clampco Products, the Canadian manufacturer's U.S. affiliate, the opportunity to compete with companies previously immune to its reach. Clampco North America's product line of worm gear clamps includes a Micro Series and a Standard Series.

The Clampco Micro Series clamps are manufactured with 300 series stainless steel housings and bands and come with 5/16" wide bands. Customers may specify either Series 90037 for zinc plated worms or Series 90038 for stainless steel worms. The Clampco Micro Series worm gear clamps are available in SAE sizes 4 and 6.

The Clampco Standard Series clamps are also manufactured with 300 series stainless steel housings and bands, but the Standard Series comes with ½" wide bands. As with the Micro Series, customers may specify the hardware material for the Standard Series -- Series 90009 for the zinc plated worms or 90016 for the stainless steel worms.

The Clampco Standard Series worm gear clamps are available in 22 different SAE sizes ranging from SAE size 6 to SAE size 104.

In addition to these four series, Clampco North America also offers custom designs. Worm gear clamps with a limited number of slots in the band, as well as clamps with notched bands, are just some of the available design options. These custom designs compensate for variations in hose line assemblies, such as extrusions or special locating tabs.

The worm gear clamps are used to join all types of rubber and silicone hoses, as well as duct lines. Common installations include air conditioning, heating, venting, and plumbing applications. The clamps are also installed on engine applications in the automotive, construction, lawn and garden, and heavy-duty trucking industries.

All orders ship directly from the 20,000 sq.-ft. manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario, which allows Clampco North America to react immediately to requests for expedited delivery. The company's design, manufacturing, and delivery capabilities offer customers the best combination of quality, value, and service.
