Rittal's Industrial Workstations Provide More Workspace, Versatility for Industrial Control
SPRINGFIELD, OH, September 2004 - Rittal offers a complete line of modular Industrial Workstations that offer increased workspace, security and ergonomics. With a NEMA Type 12 rating, the workstations are constructed with a main housing based on Rittal's TS8 platform. The work surfaces are made from high-density particle board laminated with heavy-duty T-molding edging. Because of their modularity, the units can be mixed and matched to provide flexible design and increased workspace possibilities for any operating station environment. The Industrial Workstations are suited for applications such as quality inspection stations, laboratory units, process control stations and kiosks.
The Industrial Workstation features a modular under-table housing that is 600 mm (24 in) wide, 900 mm (35 in) or 1000 mm (39 in) high and 600 mm (24 in) deep. This floor enclosure houses PCs, laboratory equipment and control or monitoring units and provides storage for production folders, writing utensils and tools.
The Industrial Workstation provides a variety of options for installations with flat screens, 17-inch and 21-inch monitors. Smaller monitors and flat screens can be installed in a Rittal Optipanel enclosure. The Optipanel's slim design provides more free space on the worktop. A variety of monitor housings, working surfaces and base/pedestals are available with the Industrial Workstation units.
Rittal's Industrial Workstations can be constructed with designer or glazed doors, drawer sections for keyboard and storage, or a combination of both. The rear of the workstation can be made either of a screw-fastened panel or a door. The interior of the lower housing features two mounting levels, enabling printers, PC towers and other components to be enclosed.
