Kurt Cluster Towers Have Eight Clamping Stations For High Density, High Productivity Workholding

Minneapolis, Minnesota: Kurt Cluster Towers (CT series) have eight clamping stations making them ideal for small and mid-size machining centers including horizontal or vertical machining centers with a fourth axis.

Kurt Cluster Towers answer the need of high density workholding to meet today's high productivity requirements. They maximize multiple part workholding for best spindle utilization, reducing tool change time and reducing machine travel from part to part.

Featuring the famous AngLock® design for minimizing moveable jaw lift, the integral cast iron body is highly rigid to achieve workpiece immobility and to dampen cutter induced vibration.

The Kurt ClusterTowers have an automatic adjustment system that accommodates any size part within the opening range. An internalized holding block results in a 10 percent height reduction over earlier models while an optional internal hex is available to further shorten overall height where needed.

Additional features include pre-load adjustment and new chip guard system and shaft seal where the center clamping area is fully covered at all times during operation.

Available in two basic tower sizes, the 4 inch tower has 3" x 4" maximum part capacity in eight clamping stations while the 6 inch tower has 4" x 6" maximum part capacity also in eight clamping stations. Both towers are convertible from eight to four single station towers with 7.55" (4" tower) and 9.96" (6" tower) jaw capacity. Also available in three standard or with custom bases and in metric models.

Accessories for these Kurt Cluster Towers include quick-change, reversible InnerLock Jaws and workstops for positioning parts on repetitive work.
