New Wireless and Application Solution Features Offer More Flexibility for IBM Workgroup Printers

Overview
New wireless features for IBM's currently available workgroup printers and MFPs help you take advantage of the faster throughput of the 802.11g wireless standard.

The two new features are 802.11g Wireless to Ethernet for IBM printers and MFPs with an Ethernet port and 802.11g Wireless to USB for IBM printers or MFPs with a USB port.

Both wireless features are external devices with a small footprint that allows them to be placed near the printer without consuming valuable desk space. These features are easy to install and provide a high level of network security.

You can use both wireless features with the following IBM workgroup printers: Infoprint® 1145, 1226, 1332/1332L, 1352, 1372, 1412, 1422, and Infoprint Color 1357, 1334, 1454, and 1464. Both features are supported on IBM Infoprint 1410
MFP and 1145 MFP for printing only.

New applications solution features provide new machine support for IPDS(TM), ImageQuick, barcode, and decryption.

The two new IPDS features include new function for IPDS printing. The IPDS feature for Infoprint 1145 offers N-up capability and the new IPDS feature for the Infoprint Color 1357 offers full IPDS color printing for text, image, barcode,
and graphics data and N-up capability.

The new barcode, ImageQuick, and decryption features support the Infoprint 1145 printer and are a part number change only. These features offer function similar to the previous part numbers.
