McGill Handi-Light 13-Watt Fluorescent Lamp Offers Safety, Bright Light & Energy-Efficiency, Now Available with Optional 110V Tool Tap
SKOKIE, IL, May 9, 2002 - McGill Electrical Products Group, a leading supplier of electrical safety products, offers its Handi-Light(TM), an energy-efficient, 13-Watt fluorescent work light, to electrical contractors, maintenance personnel and professionals in the construction industry who need bright, low-voltage lighting in an impact-proof design. In addition to its high light output and a lamp life rated at 10,000 hours, this compact, UL Listed work light provides ultra-cool operation, protecting personnel from burns because of accidental contact.
Highlights of the lamp's Rough Service design include: a break-resistant scratch guard; an under-the-handle on/off switch that is water- and dust-resistant; a printed circuit, solid state ballast protected against voltage surges up to 18 volts; and a rubber bumper and handle that safeguards the light against impact. A cushioned, spring steel hook permits the light to be securely attached to a belt or shoulder strap for hands-free operation, while the lamp's unique reflector design focuses light towards the work surface and away from the user's eyes.
The Handi-Light comes furnished with a 16- or 18-gauge SJTOW-A oil-resistant cord and molded plug. McGill is now making its Handi-Light available with an optional 110-volt in-line tap to allow users to tap an additional tool from the cord. Other optional features include a scratch guard and the Saf-T-Tie cover locking mechanism.
