Wonderware Receives Frost & Sullivan's 2007 Company of the Year Award for Adaptive Manufacturing and Supervisory Controls

LAKE FOREST, Calif., June 7, 2007 - Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, today announced that, for the fourth consecutive year, it has received Frost & Sullivan's coveted North American Company of the Year Award for innovative software solutions. This year's award was for the Adaptive Manufacturing and Supervisory Controls category, addressing the unique requirements of customers implementing human-machine interface (HMI) and manufacturing technology.

The most recent announcement of the Wonderware System Platform was noted as a significant new market offering that recognizes the demand for solutions that are designed to provide substantial savings on lifecycle costs. The Wonderware System Platform offers a common set of application services designed to provide customers with unique flexibility for future growth and application uses.

Frost & Sullivan also noted that Wonderware's new plug-in application modules, including Equipment Operations Module, Equipment Performance Module and Manufacturing Execution Module, feature powerful communication and execution capabilities that address the production and performance management needs of industrial automation and information personnel. Providing a common and strategic industrial application services platform on top of virtually any existing system, Wonderware System Platform is built upon the industry standards-based ArchestrA real-time service-oriented architecture technology.

The ArchestrA architecture was again recognized as an important industry technology that enables global manufacturing companies with diverse manufacturing requirements to re-use engineering components to reduce development time and cost. The ArchestrA architecture and related Wonderware products built on this technology enable customers to easily adopt new software solutions without abandoning prior investments in automation, production and IT systems.

"Wonderware has always understood its customers' unique requirements and has consistently provided them with solutions that have driven process efficiency to higher levels and resulted in significant increases in profitability," said Sathyajit Rao, director of industrial automation and process control for Frost & Sullivan. "Automation and information software systems represent a significant investment for most manufacturing companies. Wonderware has emerged as a company that has helped customers identify critical bottlenecks in real time. Wonderware provides an accurate roadmap to drive down manufacturing costs, while maintaining consistent production quality."

For the 2006 Frost & Sullivan award, Wonderware was named Company of the Year for its pioneering work in the human-machine interface (HMI) and manufacturing software technology market segments. In 2005 Wonderware's InTouch HMI software received the global growth consulting company's Product Innovation Award. In addition, in 2004, Wonderware received a Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Enhancement Award.

"Frost & Sullivan's recognition of Wonderware's product and business innovations reflects the company's continuing commitment to customer business value based on software technology leadership," said Mark Davidson, Wonderware's vice president of global marketing. "The Wonderware System Platform, built on ArchestrA technology, enables customers to benefit from an open, industry standards-based software approach that leverages existing plant and business systems. By using a modular plant model, customers can create innovative production and performance management solutions that evolve at their own business pace.

"These software solutions are rapidly scalable and repeatable across multiple production lines and plants - supporting low-risk rollouts of best practices for manufacturing operations excellence. Our customers are managing their manufacturing operations in real time with increased visibility and responsiveness. This enables them to resolve issues rapidly and cost-effectively, resulting in overall improved productivity and responsiveness."
