Stackpole Electtronics, Inc. Introduces Printed Circuitry Board Mountable Wirewound Resistor
RALEIGH, N.C. (September 27, 2005) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc. has introduced a line of ceramic-housed, commercial-grade wirewound resistors with unique spade lead, printed circuitry board mountable terminations.
Designated the PCB Series, these resistors have power ratings between 3 and 20 watts at 70°C, and are available from 0.1ohm to 1.25Kohm with tolerances of 5% and 10%. Stackpole also offers the PCB Series with custom windings for special surge and pulse handling requirements.
Stackpole's Product Engineering Manager Kory Schroeder commented on the PCB Series by saying, "These resistors offer manufacturing engineers flexibility. In comparison to standard axial leaded devices they snap right into place." Schroeder added, "By design, the PCB Series stands high off the PC board and therefore eliminates temperature concerns usually associated with power resistors."
