Digi Releases 900 MHz XBee® Module with 15 Miles RF Line-of-Sight Transmission

MINNETONKA, Minn. (April 15, 2008) - Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today introduced the XBee-PRO® XSC, a powerful, cost-effective 900 MHz embedded RF module that provides up to 15 miles RF line-of-sight transmission in the postage-stamp sized XBee form factor. Customers can now choose 802.15.4, ZigBee and long-range point-to-multipoint platforms in the XBee form factor.

Compatible with certain variants of Digi's XStream® family of wireless modems and modules, the XBee-PRO XSC is appropriate for use as a pure cable replacement for simple serial communication or as part of a more complex hub- and-spoke network.
