New! World's First Loop Powered Wireless Transceiver



OTEKCORP.com has released (and applied for Patent) the Industry's first current loop (4-20 & 10-50mA) powered Wireless (RF) Transceiver. The LPI was designed primarily for hazardous (I.S.) short range (under 300' indoors) and draws its power from the current loop and when not transmitting, stores the energy in a super cap. The Micro Controller controls the frequency of transmission as well as LED indication of presence or absence of loop signal. A battery is used for emergency transmissions when the loop is not active to warn the user of input problems.

The companion receiver converts the R.F. back into a 4-20mA signal and has LEDs to indicate reception quality. The transmitter uses 2 wires, the Receiver 3 (7-28VDC) and if desired a 1-5VDC out is available.

The LPI can be DIN Rail mounted or connected in line (2 wires) next to other Loop Powered meters, Zero & Span (4 & 20mA) adjustments are included on the receiver. The LPI (only 1.75 x 2.5 x 0.8" plus antenna) is available in the following frequencies (depending on the Country to be used): 315, 413, 902-928 and 868 MHz (an affidavit of use is required for all frequencies except 902-928 MHz). Intrinsically Safe "By Design" is available pending agency's approval.

Users are in "Hazardous" to "Safe Area" installations and any wiring elimination project.
