Wireless System monitors and relays rupture disc status.

Press Release Summary:

Radio-Tel works with Elfab's non-invasive, magnetic rupture detection system, Flo-Tel(TM)+, for real-time process monitoring of disc status and temperature. When installed, Radio-Tel transmitters are situated close to rupture disc and plug into Flo-Tel+. Transmitters sends regular updates to receiver every minute, and immediate alerts are sent when rupture is detected. Radio-Tel failsafe receiver module can receive signals from 1,600+ ft away, and repeater aerials are available.

Elfab Introduces Wireless Rupture Detection System, Radio-Tel System Works with Rupture Detector Flo-Tel(TM)+ for Maximum Flexibility

Cincinnati, OH (February 18, 2008) -Combining the latest wireless technology with the already successful non-invasive rupture detection system Flo-Tel(TM)+; Elfab, Europe's leading rupture disc manufacturer, has launched a unique detection system, Radio-Tel, that allows maximum flexibility for rupture disc users.

Suitable for the largest of sites, the Radio-Tel Wireless Detection system features real time process monitoring of disc status and temperature. Radio-Tel works with Elfab's non-invasive, magnetic rupture detection system, Flo-Tel+, to deliver quick notification when a disc ruptures, resulting in reduced process downtime. When installed, the Radio-Tel transmitters are situated close to the rupture disc and easily plug into the Flo-Tel+. This eliminates the need for electricians to complete slow and expensive wiring jobs, previously required with all detection systems.

The transmitters send regular updates, called health messages, to the receiver every minute and immediate alerts when a rupture is detected. The Radio-Tel failsafe receiver module can receive signals from over 1,600 feet away and repeater aerials are available for larger sites, harsh operating environments, or where buildings and structures make signals weak. Transmitters include unique identification information with each health message, providing control over individual contacts for maximum flexibility.

Radio-Tel's software allows customers to easily monitor the exact location, process temperature, battery life and signal strength of each device from their control room. Additionally, Radio-Tel can be hardwired to allow for maximum control over individual processes or to trigger a beacon or siren when a rupture is detected.

Suitable for use in even the harshest of operating conditions, all Radio-Tel parts have at least an IP65 rating and all transmitters are fully ATEX Zone 0 approved.
