Digi Adds Small ZigBee-to-IP Gateway for Drop-in Networking Applications

MINNETONKA, Minn. (Feb. 6, 2008) - Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today introduced the ConnectPort X2, a wireless gateway about the size of a deck of cards that links ZigBee/802.15.4 device networks with IP networks over Wi- Fi or Ethernet connections. The ConnectPort X2 expands Digi's Drop-in Networking solutions, a combination of hardware components and software tools for network-enabling commercial grade devices where wired infrastructure does not exist or does not satisfy customer needs. The single function ConnectPort X2 is available in two configurations - ZigBee-to-Wi-Fi or ZigBee-to-Ethernet, and provides easy, cost-effective IP connectivity to wireless ZigBee networks where access to an Ethernet or Wi-Fi infrastructure exists.

The ConnectPort X2 also includes the Digi Connectware® Manager network management platform which provides a one-to-many interface for network configuration and maintenance.
