Dotworkz Introduces 900 MHz Wireless Bridge for PTZ Cameras

Dotworkz 900Mhz Wireless Bridge Kit Allows Control of PTZ Cameras from Up to 25 Miles Away

SAN DIEGO, CA, January 18, 2008 -- Dotworkz, a worldwide leader in surveillance video monitoring equipment and design, today introduced the new DW900-O, a long-range 900Mhz wireless bridge for security system integrators seeking to deploy and implement Wi-Fi video surveillance networks utilizing PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) IP-based cameras.

Protected within a fully weatherized NEMA 4X enclosure, the DW900-O has a maximum LOS (Line of Sight) range of 25 miles or up to one mile in dense NLOS (Non Line of Sight), making it ideal for outdoor applications requiring the high-speed transfer of video streams from multiple camera locations along with wireless control of PTZ functions. The DW900-O delivers an RF transmission rate of 1.5 Mbs, plus offers interference mitigation tools and the security of 128-bit encryption. It is compatible with PTZ and fixed IP network cameras from Axis, Sony, Toshiba and other major manufacturers.

Operating on the unlicensed 900Mhz band, the DW900- O automatically "hops" frequencies to find the best channel to transmit from. Once selected, the radio channel is adaptively optimized to assure the most reliable operation.

To maximize total return on investment, the DW900-O kit comes fully configured with all the components needed to quickly enable a wireless link, including two (2): radios, power supplies, 11dBi antennas, CAT5 cables, POE injectors, and all necessary mounting equipment. It can be deployed as either a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint cameras control system depending on antenna configurations.
